Your relationship is like that too. If properly cared for, it can take you to beautiful places. Just like how you’d pump petrol in your car to keep it going, you’d show your partner affection and say things like “I love you” to fuel your relationship. You’d communicate and talk things out to keep your relationship clean and free of misunderstandings and negative feelings. And you’d be careful to not let anything harm your relationship. These things are essential to keep everything running day-to-day, but every relationship still needs servicing once in a while.

Do they like red roses, white lilies, pink tulips, or cheery yellow sunflowers? If you’re not sure, red roses are always a good place to start. After all, they’re one of the most iconic, most classic, symbols of love.
2. Play with numbers
Another thing you can do besides getting their favourite flowers is to send a message with the number of flowers. For example, different number of roses have different meanings. 24 roses to say that you love them all 24 hours of the day. 50 because they’re your other half. 99 because they’re the 1 you need. Or you can make it more personal. If you’ve been married for long enough, get the number of flowers that corresponds to the number of years you’ve been together. If not, go for the number of months! It’ll make the bouquet extra meaningful.
3. Get creative
After x number of bouquets, you may have run out of ideas, but still not want to get them the same flowers again. Then, it would be time to start thinking out of the box. There are many ways to do so. Play with colour; go for flowers dyed in their favourite colour, or even rainbow-dyed flowers. Play with shape; get bouquets arranged to look like their favourite animal or character. If you have an inside joke, find a way to incorporate it into the flowers. Add fairy lights. Go for dried and preserved flowers or exotic flowers (depending on the season). You could even get them a bouquet of chocolates, or even cash (best for those who really don’t want flowers or are allergic).
4. Make the flower arrangement yourself
If all else fails, put time and effort into learning how to make a bouquet or vase arrangement yourself. After all, what more meaningful gift is there than something you made yourself? Even if it doesn’t turn out perfect, the love you put into it is worth more than anything else. So find a YouTube tutorial that inspires you, get yourself some flowers, and get to work! 5. Plan ahead
If you’re one of those people who forget important dates, mark it on your calendars and set reminders. Start arranging things at least a week in advance, so that you’ll be prepared if there needs to be any changes. The worst thing you can do is scramble for something at the last minute. Some flowers are seasonal, so they may not be available during certain times of the year. If you’re looking for specific flowers and colours, they may not be in stock if you place an order at the last minute.
