Located in the northernmost part of Burgundy, France, Chablis is famous for its white wines made from the Chardonnay grape varietal. The region boasts of ancient Jurassic soil and a cool climate, resulting in the dry, mineral-rich taste profile and pale gold-green colour characteristic of Chablis wines.
Produced by Arnaud Lavantureux using grapes from their 50-year-old vineyard, this wine offers richness and complexity featuring a generous bouquet of ripe fruit, with a dense, tightly knit backbone, and a full-flavored, zesty finish of citrus and the signature Chablis minerality.
Tim Atkin, MW scored this wine at 91 points professing the promise and potential of this young vigneron who was named best young winemaker in Chablis by his own peers.
