This wine hails from the Wilyabrup Valley located in Margaret River, Australia’s renowned wine region. It is home to some of the region's earliest (and most respected) wineries, Cullen being one of the most famous of these.
Winemaker and environmentalist Vanya Cullen, a strong believer in biodynamic viticulture, has applied these principles of ‘quality, integrity and sustainability’ in rearing the grapes and processing the wine.
The Diana Madeline Cabernet Merlot is all about vineyard character, finesse, flavour and longevity. A medium to full-bodied wine with elegance and harmony, the tannins are abundant and add great structure. The palate is likewise refined and beautifully flavoured with fresh blackcurrants, berries and plum and integrated cedar notes.
Wine critic James Halliday gives it a near-perfect score of 98 points, calling it “elegance personified, no compromise likewise”.
