Mention Châteauneuf-du-Pape and many will consider it the pinnacle of Rhône Valley, joining the ranks of other renowned French wine regions like Bordeaux and Burgundy. What makes Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines so special is that up to 18 varieties of grapes grown in the region may be used, giving winemakers unimagined possibilities for their wine blends.
For this wine though, the eight-generation winery Domaine des 3 Cellier pays homage to the Grenache grape, featuring its silky, floral and fresh red fruit characteristics, while embracing the deep complexities of their single 80-year-old vineyard.
The 2016 vintage was legendary in Châteauneuf-du-Pape with Robert Parker awarding it 98 points, producing consistent wines displaying perfect complexity, elegant freshness and purity of fruit.
3 Celliers Eternelle 2016 has been rated 96 points by the Wine Advocate.
